Sharing our blanket prayer watch
Through HIS ACT OF LOVE we have been reconciled to God as our Father, because Jesus paid the prize by His blood for our sins. “Sharing our blanket” is based on sharing the good news we received in an understandable and tangible way through the gift of a blanket, as a symbol of the Blood of Jesus, God’s gift to us. Thus preparing the way for the lost of this world to be clothed in the love of Jesus Christ.

Remember nothing and no demonic power can stand against the power of our Heavenly Father, the Creator of Heaven and earth, God even used the enemy to bring into fruition God’s plan to reconcile man to Himself through the crucifixion of Jesus. Thereby initiating the most pivotal event in the history of the world, the victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and salvation from sin for all mankind. We are covered by this perfect blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ so that we can stand before Father God redeemed and without sin as Father God’s children.
Sharing our blanket prayer watch is our opportunity to share the love we received. Romans 8 verse 31 to 39, encouraging us as believers in Christ Jesus to cover the lost of the world in prayer as we acknowledge that nothing can separate us from God’s love. Thus we can be instruments in the hands of God to announce and enforce the victory of Jesus Christ on the cross over the enemy as we cover the lost of this world in prayer.
Colossians 2:13-15 (ESV) and you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. this he set aside, nailing it to the cross. he disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
Every soldier who enlists stands in faith for the light to shine in the darkness, whether in someone’s life, family or as a watchman over an area. We ask Father God for soldiers with hearts as in 1 Timothy 1 verse 5, love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Those who will stand in the gap without judgment of the person or persons being prayed for. Francis Francipane says “true prayer is born of love and comes in the midst of sin and need, it comes not to condemn but to cover” exactly the meaning of embatha to cover someone and this case it is covering someone with God’s love.
