Today I tried to take of the retaining bolt on the transfer box outer shaft in order to replace the seal. Well I did not realize how hard it is to undo just the nut, I tried and I failed, but since failure is not an option, I will try again. If our son where here he would have said try and try again.
But the mentioned made me think that it is important to have a strong foundation that can not easily be tampered with, especially as the Lord give us direction. Like when the Lord called Paul to go to the gentles, Peter could not persuade him to go to Tarsus. Paul knew his calling, and stood by it. I believe the Lord is showing us to make our calling just as sure as the tight fit of the nut, so that it will not be misconstrued or easily influenced by others.
Interestingly, the facelift elements is easily done and restored, make it look good but without the prop shaft being restored it might look good but will go nowhere, it is sometime like us in serving the Lord. We look good, but because the foundational stuff is not in place we tend to go nowhere.
May the Lord grant us favor to be restored foundationally in order for all of us to be His instruments of change in a world that needs the Lord and His love.
