Someone said to us that we step out of the sphere of our authority, even though we sort of agreed we did not fully understand the whole meaning of the messages.
But God in His Wisdom use different way to communicate to us His children, for us at this stage the Lord is using the Land Rover as a communication medium to show us what to do. The Land Rover is an amazing strong and robust vehicle that can be utilized in extremely difficult terrain. But this one was out of commission for some time resulting in some repairs to be done before the Land Rover can be used effectively.
The mentioned communicated to us that as we step out of the sphere of authority as missionaries, we have been out of commission, e.g. the great commission we receive from the Lord Jesus Christ, and now, before we can be used effectively, some repair work needed.
The book we are currently reading, called “Torch Bearers” is helping us to ignite the fire in our hearts for the commission we received from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. One of the characters in the book, “Dave” was a Olympic athlete was challenge to run the ultimate race for God, as Paul describe in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 GW “Don’t you realize that everyone who runs in a race runs to win, but only one runner gets the prize? Run like them, so that you can win. Everyone who enters an athletic contest goes into strict training. They do it to win a temporary crown, but we do it to win one that will be permanent. So I run—but not without a clear goal ahead of me. So I box—but not as if I were just shadow boxing. Rather, I toughen my body with punches and make it my slave so that I will not be disqualified after I have spread the Good News to others.
Training for participation in the race, is the message we believe the Lord gave through the Land Rover He gave us, as we repair the Land Rover, the Lord will use it as a instrument in training us in order to re-enter the race.
We believe that as the Land Rover will again be able to go where only a Land Rover can go, we will go where ever the Lord send us. We will be behind the wheel and God will navigate our way.
