10 September 2025 : Alignment

Today I refitted the reconditioned steering box, and realized that steering a vehicle is a combination of 3 elements. It is the steering wheel, that is the direct link between the driver and the direction that the vehicle will go. The steering box relates the direction the driver intend to go to the wheels and the hydraulic pump empowers the easy turning of the wheels to overcome the resistance.

The whole process is however only effective once the vehicle engine is running and the vehicle is moving. The hydraulic pump only works once the engine is running and the wheels will only alter the direction of a moving vehicle.

Thinking of the mentioned, I realized that it is the same with our walk in the Lord. Comparing our calling or life’s purpose we received from the Lord, to the vehicle then we must acknowledge that the calling is only effective once we allow God to move in behind the steering wheel. Steering our lives according to His plan and direction.

The steering box came into effect through our Lord and Saviour in Him we have been recreated to do the good works God intended for us from before the foundation of the world, Ephesians 2:10.

The hydraulic pump is the Holy Spirit that empower us to go into the direction God is pointing us, as it is written in Zechariah 4:6 “not by might nor by power but by My Spirit” says the Lord.

As mentioned, the only time the vehicle and the various components will accomplish what it is suppose to do, is when the engine is running and the vehicle is moving.

In the ministry, as the running engine is required for the hydraulic pump to work, so is surrender to Jesus, the meditation on the Word of God and prayer required for us to run. With a running engine it is easy “to get moving”, as Jesus said go, and I will be with you.

The world is trapped and imprisoned because the truth of God’s Word is hidden and as it is written the truth will set them free, proclaim the truth.
